Expanding the Root universe. Following the playing cards, we reimagined the classic balancing game through Root’s dynamic and bold visual language.

The core concepts of the game—construction and balance—sit at the heart of the packaging design. 54 wooden blocks in 6 distinct colors and the geometric shapes from the Root logo come together to form the absurd and playful characters on the box. Each of these characters is a direct reflection of the pure instinct to play. Driven by the motto “No matter how old you are!”, we developed a boundless, energetic system. With its strong typography, modular grid, and striking color palette, the Root Stacking Tower transforms into an active game the moment it is unboxed, and stands as a design object when closed.
